Jan Wertel is a founding partner of Wertel Oberfell, an industrial design firm with offices in Berlin and Munich. Wertel and his partner Gernot Oberfell both worked at Ross Lovegrove’s Studio X in London, and founded Wertel Oberfell in 2006. Wertel Oberfell specializes in furniture design, product design, lighting, as well as experimental projects and research. The firm utilizes advanced technology, particularly 3D printing techniques to realize their creations. An irregular-shaped, low, brown-colored table, comprising of four angular legs, whose forms are reminiscent of tree trunks with extending branches. The table top is wavy and linear with multiple groups of lines cut in diagonals, suggestive of leafy foliage.
