Arthur Hash received his BFA in Crafts/Material Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2002, and his MFA in metalsmithing and jewelry design from Indiana University in 2005. He is an assistant professor, and the Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design Area Coordinator, at the College of Fine and Applied Arts at Appalachian State University. In 2007, he was awarded his second Fellowship from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond, Virginia, and named a Searchlight Artist by the American Craft Council. This chunky bangle is 3D printed in smooth, creamy-white nylon plastic with a soft sheen, like sculpted marble. The wrist opening is a soft teardrop shape, with the point facing up. Around the outside of the bracelet are three or four overlapping layers of feathers, like a wing. The feathers are smooth, with rounded, tapering tips. The feathers are longer at the top of the bracelet and gradually grow shorter toward the bottom. The inside of the bracelet is smooth and unsculpted.
