Founded in 2016, Finland-based Sulapac Ltd. was created by two biochemical researchers specializing in biomaterials, Suvi Haimi and Laura Kyllönen, from the University of Tampere. While Haimi was supervising Kyllönen's doctoral thesis, they became concerned with the excess of solid waste, particularly petroleum-based plastics, affecting the environment. As a result, they decided to become entrepreneurs, creating their company "with a mission to save the planet from plastic waste." They developed and patented Sulapac,a sustainable, biodegradable material derived from FSC-certified wood mixed with natural binders. Eight, short, cylindrical containers placed in a zig zag pattern. The containers are exhibited in various color ways. Starting from left to right, a fully brown container and lid, a white container with a navy blue lid, a fully white container and lid, a white container with an olive green lid, fully black container and lid with white specks, a brown container with a purple lid, a white container with a brown lid, and a brown container with a pink lid. Each container has a speckled design, similar to the visual texture of cork.

A single short cyclindrical container with a white bottom and cylindrical wood lid. The brown lid has a similar visual texture as cork. The lid is speckled with various tones of brown and spots of black with woodchips sprinkled throughout. The texture seems soft and smooth all around. The white bottom part of the container is mostly white with specks of light brown, similar to the lid.
