Takashi Kawashima

Takashi Kawashima (Japanese, b. 1981) is an interactive product designer based in San Francisco, CA, USA. Through his work, Kawashima seeks to recontextualize everyday objects to illuminate the mundane. His projects have been shown at international festivals including Ars Electronica, Japan Media Arts Festival, Siggraph, Sónar, South by Southwest, and the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival. Kawashima received his BA in Environmental Information with a Dean’s Award from Keio University in Japan and his MFA in Design|Media Arts from UCLA.
