Maiko Takeda is a milliner and jewelry designer whose work proposes new expressions of body adornment. Having grown up in Tokyo, Takeda moved to London to study at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and later the Royal College of Art. The influence of nature is apparent in her work. Inspired by environmental phenomena such as shadow, clouds, and wind, Takeda’s work is sensual, exploring ephemeral and immaterial effects.
