Scott Schmidt

Born in Rockford, Illinois, Scott Schmidt is an accomplished furniture craftsman who primarily works out of a studio in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He attended the Montserrat College of Art in Massachusetts where he studied under the master furniture maker Bill Turner. Schmidt continued his furniture training at the North Bennet Street School in Boston. A New York gallery owner put him in touch with Edward Weinberger, forming a partnership that has lasted over thirty years.
