Luisa Cevese is a self-taught textile designer. She began creating textiles for fashion and interiors in 1984, providing work for companies such as Dolce&Gabbana, Hermès, Chanel, and Comme des Garçons. In 1996, she founded Riedizioni, a design studio where she re-appropriates production waste to create new materials. She gathers scraps from various phases of the textile production process and encases them in translucent polyurethane to create one-of-a-kind fashion and home accessories. Her animating principle is a simple one:... more.
