Heritage-Henredon Furniture Co.

Heritage-Henredon was a cross-licensing venture between Drexel Heritage and Henredon furniture manufacturers. Elliot Sherrill Wood started his first furniture manufacturing company, Heritage, in 1937 and earned a reputation for high quality upholstery and historical reproductions. In 1947, he was also one of the founders of the higher end manufacturer Henredon, and Heritage and Henredon were combined. In 1955 and 1956 Henredon manufactured about one million dollars’ worth of Frank Lloyd Wright furniture. Approximately seventy-five designs were made, forty by Henredon and thirty-five by Heritage.
