This is a Figure group. It was manufactured by Derby Porcelain Factory and model maker: John James Spangler and made by Joseph Hill. It is dated 1790–1796 and we acquired it in 1926. Its medium is unglazed (biscuit) porcelain. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was bequest of Mrs. John Innes Kane. It is credited Bequest of Mrs. John Innes Kane.

No 48 and incised D (mark of Joseph Hill who assembled parts)
