Porcelain Cup and Saucer (and Glass Beaker) with Box Cup And Saucer; Box

This is a cup and saucer; box. It was manufactured by Buen Retiro Manufactory. It is dated ca. 1803–1808 and we acquired it in 1931. Its medium is porcelain, vitreous enamel, gold; glass; wood, brass, leather. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Sarah Cooper Hewitt and Eleanor Garnier Hewitt. It is credited Gift of Eleanor and Sarah Hewitt.

Its dimensions are

H x W x D (a, cup): 11.8 x 7.8 x 10 cm (4 5/8 x 3 1/16 x 3 15/16 in.) H x diam. (b, saucer): 3.2 x 13.4 cm (1 1/4 x 5 1/4 in.) H x W x D (c, box closed): 15.7 x 20 x 15.2 cm (6 3/16 x 7 7/8 x 6 in.)
