Card Case (France)

This is a Card case. It is dated 19th century and we acquired it in 1931. Its medium is silk and silver foil-wrapped silk embroidery on silk foundation and its technique is embroidered in chain, stem and satin stitches on plain weave foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.
