Fragment (France)

This is a Fragment. It is dated 1750–1800 and we acquired it in 1932. Its medium is silk and its technique is plain weave with continuous and discontinuous supplementary weft patterning (brocade), with moiré. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by Mrs. Montgomery Hare. It is credited Gift of Mrs. Montgomery Hare.
