Mourning Sampler

This is a Mourning sampler. It is dated late 17th–early 18th century and we acquired it in 1976. Its medium is silk, metal thread, paper and its technique is painted silks, silk threads and metal threads laid on parchment or paper with wax. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by Unknown. It is credited Gift of Anonymous Donor from the Fraser/Martin Collection.
