This rectangular, dark brown mulberry paper (kozo washi) stencil shows two ducks floating on sinuous lines, suggesting rippling water. Short plants with three pointed leaves and round fruits grow out from the waves. The duck at upper right floats upside down, head facing left; the duck at lower left floats right side up, head facing right. The details of the plants and the ducks' feathers are delicately cut away from the kozo washi. The negative space of the stencil is reinforced with silk gauze (shabari). Centered on the bottom edge, a small white label reads '99'.
