Embroidered Picture, Victoriana

This is a Embroidered picture. It was designed by Mariska Karasz and made by Mariska Karasz. It is dated 1945–47 and we acquired it in 1977. Its medium is wool and its technique is embroidered in herring-bone, feather, stem, chain, detached looping satin, roumanian, looping, couching and honeycomb filling stitches on plain weave foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by Rosamund Berg and Solveig Cox. It is credited Gift of Solveig Cox and Rosamond Berg, the artist's daughter.
