Pleated Fan

This is a Pleated fan. It is dated mid- 19th century and we acquired it in 1952. Its medium is painted silk leaf, carved and pierced mother-of-pearl sticks with applied gold foil, chenille tassel, pin set with a faceted stone. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by Unknown. It is credited Gift of Anonymous Donor.
