Textile (France)

This is a Textile. It is dated ca. 1870 and we acquired it in 1941. Its medium is silk and its technique is moire; embossing; warp-faced plain weave with supplementary warp patterning on the front in plain weave, or 5-harness satin and free floating on the back. It is a part of the Textiles department.
