Fragment , Depart pour le chasse

This is a Fragment . It was engraved by F. Pieters. It is dated ca. 1810 and we acquired it in 1995. Its medium is cotton and its technique is printed by engraved roller on plain weave foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was bequest of Elinor Merrell. It is credited Bequest of Elinor Merrell.

It is inscribed

The title "DEPART POUR LA CHASSE" on a rock at the left, at the right a signpost indicating the towns of "LILLEBONNE", "MESNIL" and "VALASSE" and the signature F. PIETERS on a rock at the right.
