Cushion Cover (France)

This is a Cushion cover. It was manufactured by Tassinari & Chatel. It is dated 1920–29 and we acquired it in 1931. Its medium is cotton and its technique is stencil dyed using a brush or atomizer on cut floats of supplementary wefts in a 1/2 twill foundation (velveteen). It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by Sarah Cooper Hewitt and Eleanor Garnier Hewitt. It is credited Gift of Eleanor and Sarah Hewitt.
