This is a Fragment with partial chef. It was produced by Hartmann et Fils. It is dated ca. 1820 and we acquired it in 1995. Its medium is cotton and its technique is printed by roller and individual stamps on plain weave. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was bequest of Elinor Merrell. It is credited Bequest of Elinor Merrell.

It has the following markings

In one box "MANUFACTURE DE HARTMANN ET FILS ASSOCIES DE SOEHNEE ET Cie A MUNSTER HAUT RHIN" , in another box "RAS", in a circle " ST. D.s", un boxed "671", "337" and a cross shape all in black. The number 14 in red on the front.
