Necklace (Israel)

This is a necklace. It is dated ca. 2005 and we acquired it in 2006. Its medium is glass beads, metal. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This glass bead necklace by Yael Krakowski would be a wonderful addition to the contemporary jewelry collection. The use of glass beads provides an interesting connection to earlier objects in the museum’s collection, such as 18th century Bohemian cutlery handles, of which there are several, and a Wiener Werkstätte lariat-style necklace.

It is credited Museum purchase from General Acquisitions Endowment Fund.
