Recto, in graphite, top right corner: (inscribed in circle) 76 / 87. Below this: molding on desk; to right of elevation drawing: white and blue... / pillar is pink, white base / the center panel is / light house green with / yellow caused by fungus growth / green yellow et [sic] brown. Above the small molding drawn at right: ... braid bead leaf bead center sculpture; in the margin below, at right: 1604 / by bill 1740. To right of plan drawing: (written perpendicular to drawing) plan front; Pulpit at Torcello / Oct 27th 1887 / this is the pulpit on which Ruskin gives a long sermon.
