Fragment (Peru)

This is a Fragment. It is dated 900–1400 and we acquired it in 1948. Its medium is cotton and its technique is 1) discontinuous supplementary wefts in a plain weave foundation 2) weft-faced plain weave on grouped warps. It is a part of the Textiles department.

It is credited Museum purchase through gift of Mrs. John Innes Kane.
