Mourning Sampler

This is a Mourning sampler. It was embroidered by Ann Crosley. It is dated 1828 with later additions and we acquired it in 1981. Its medium is silk and wool embroidery on linen foundation and its technique is embroidered on plain weave foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.
