Tureen And Cover (England)

This is a Tureen and cover. It was manufactured by Thomas Bradbury and Son. It is dated 1858–63 and we acquired it in 1986. Its medium is fused silver plating over copper. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was bequest of Walter Phelps Warren. It is credited Bequest of Walter Phelps Warren.

Its dimensions are

24.2 x 37 x 19 cm (9 1/2 x 14 9/16 x 7 1/2 in.)

It has the following markings

TB&S in shield [for Thomas Bradbury and Son] on bottom, also S and V [workmen's marks ?]

It is inscribed

Bright-cut crest of crown with lion emerging from top with arms raised.
