Brisé Fan

This is a Brisé fan. It is dated 1820–30 and we acquired it in 1990. Its medium is gilded and painted horn sticks with steel paillettes, gilt metal bail and faceted stone at rivet, silk ribbon and tassel . It is a part of the Textiles department.
