Card, Curtis Moffat Ltd.

This is a Card. It was designed by E. McKnight Kauffer. It is dated 1929. Its medium is letterpress. It is a part of the Drawings, Prints, and Graphic Design department.

In 1929, Curtis Moffat opened a decorating studio in London and Kauffer designed the invitation. Best known as a photographer, Moffat became one of the most influential interior decorators in London. He sold both Kauffer’s and Dorn’s rugs alongside African art and sculpture, Georgian dollhouses, Ming stone carvings, and more. Moffat promoted a style of modern interior decoration that mixed complementary objects of different eras and geographies.

It is credited Gift of Mrs. E. McKnight Kauffer.
