Book, Hesselgren's Colour Atlas: Colour Manual
This is a Book. It was written by Sven Hesselgren and published by T. Palmer AB.
This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It was able to spend time at the museum on loan from Smithsonian Libraries and Archives as part of Saturated: The Allure and Science of Color.
Sven Hesselgren theorized that we have greater color acuity for certain hues—that we are able to distinguish more shades of red or yellow than green. The spacing of the colors on his wheel reflects our relative ability to perceive different colors.
It is credited Gift of Dorothy Nickerson, Smithsonian Libraries, QC495.2 .H58.
