Two Napkins, Food for Conversation

This is a Two napkins. It was designed by Marguerita Mergentime.

This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It has been able to spend time at the museum on loan from Virginia Bayer.

It is dated 1934. Its medium is linen. It is a part of the department.

Mergentime designed napkins to coordinate with specific tablecloths. Spencerian Alphabet napkins were used with all tablecloths that referenced steel pen drawings in her Folk Art series. God Bless Our Home mat sets were taken from a Currier and Ives lithograph and had their own set of napkins.
