Poster, Keith Godard

This is a Poster. It was designed by Jianping He. It is dated 2011 and we acquired it in 2014. Its medium is screenprint on paper. It is a part of the Drawings, Prints, and Graphic Design department.

This poster was designed on the occasion of the exhibition "Unfolding Keith Godard" at Four Zero Art Space in Hangzhou, China. Godard, the principal of StudioWorks, is an award-winning American graphic designer whose work is in Cooper Hewitt's collection. He took a grainy black and white photograph of Godard and cut out elements of Godard’s face from multiple copies. He then collaged the photograph back together as a single image, leaving curving lines of white space between the incised pieces.

This object was donated by Jianping He. It is credited Gift of Jianping He.

Its dimensions are

118.9 × 84.1 cm (46 13/16 × 33 1/8 in.)
