Alfi High Back Chair

This is a chair. It was manufactured by Emeco. It is dated 2015 and we acquired it in 2015. Its medium is milled polypropylene and wood fiber and hand-carved ash. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

Combining subtle textures through different materials—seen in the reclaimed polypropylene and wood-fiber seat and responsibly harvested ash-wood legs—Morrison's Alfi seating series was visually inspired by the woven-cane brasserie chairs fuond in Parisian cafes. By engaging Amish artisans to make the wooden bases, Emeco has combined innovative and sustainable materials with craftsmanship.

This object was donated by Emeco. It is credited Gift of Emeco.
