Howard Low

Little is known about Howard Low. According to Art for Every Home: An Illustrated Index of Associated American Artists Prints, Ceramics, and Textile Designs (Mariana Kistler Beach Museum of Art, 2016), Low designed three textile prints through Associated American Artists for the Signature Fabrics collection by M. Lowenstein & Sons. In 1954 and 1955, his designs appeared in Women’s Wear Daily, Vogue Pattern Book, McCall’s Pattern Book, and New York Times Magazine. There is currently one example of Low’s work in the museum’s collection: Textile, School Days, 1954 (1994-38-13).
