Born in New York City on 25 January 1940. Education: Holy Cross College Worcester, MA BA 1962; University of Iowa 1962-64, MFA 1964. Independent writer and poet and between 1965 and 1969, he became independent visual artist with interest in performance and environmental works. Lecturer at School of Visual Art, New York in Art Theory, 1968-1971. Instructor in post-studio art, California Institute of Art, Valencia 1976. Co-editor of "O to T" magazine, New York.
