Eiji Miyamoto
Eiji Miyamoto (Japanese, b. 1948) is part of the first generation of contemporary Japanese textile designers who in the 1980s became interested in experimenting with and modifying traditional techniques and fibers to make innovative fabrics. Born into a textile family, he joined his father’s company in 1975 where he has worked both independently and with renowned designers such as Issey Miyake and Yohji Yamamoto.
