Israel-born and raised, jewelry designer and curator Deganit Stern-Schocken creates objects that are inspired by and in response to the current socio-political climate in which she lives and works. She studied industrial design, architecture, and jewelry design at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem before earning a Master of Arts from Middlesex University in London. In 1998, Stern-Schocken founded the Jewelry Design Department at Shenkar College of Engineering and Design and served as its head for nearly a decade.
