Born in Harare, Zimbabwe, Chieza moved to the United Kingdom as a teenager. After studying architecture at the Unviersity of Edinburgh, she completed a Masters degree in Material Futures at Central Saint Martins and worked with Synthetic Biologist John Ward at University College, London. Chieza has held residencies and fellowships in Biochemical Engineering at University College London, IDEO, and Gingko Bioworks. Her work has been exhibited at Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, Pompidou Center, Vitra Design Museum, The Bauhaus Dessau Foundation, V&A, and Science Gallery, Dublin.
