Aleksandra Gaca was born in Poland, but re-located to The Netherlands at age twenty-two to study textile design at the Royal Institute for Fine Arts in The Hague. She has lived and worked in the Netherlands ever since, and her studio is currently located in Delft. Her innovative textile designs have earned many awards, including the Dutch Design Award, and have been included in numerous exhibitions at the TextielMuseum, Tilburg, the Netherlands, and Design Museum Holon, Israel, among many others.
